Why run groups?
Groups in allied health practices can be:
Incredibly helpful for clients and families... and FUN!
An effective use of therapists' energy and time
A super helpful and relevant waitlist support strategy
Profitable and sustainable for you to run
Across Australia, the allied health industry is facing significant waitlist challenges and recruitment difficulties. There are simply not enough therapists around to support all the 1-on-1 direct services, the more ‘traditional’ model that so many people are asking for.
When you choose, design, run and evaluate groups that are relevant to your clients’ needs and your team’s passions, you open up innovative opportunities for everone!
In this 70 min recorded webinar, you’ll learn about:
You’ll get a taster of everything that I’ve tried and learned over the years – a short cut so you don’t have to make my mistakes!
- Why you should run groups in your private practice
- How to determine what types of groups are clinically relevant and ethically aligned with your profession and business
- How to design groups that fit clinical needs, team needs and financial goals
- How to evaluate your groups and learn from what worked, while improving on the parts that can be even more awesome
- How to price and invoice for groups, inside and outside of NDIS guidelines
- Tech tools to make groups run smoothly, from an admin and a clinical perspective
- Bonus Ideas to make your groups run absolutely fantastically for the clients and your team
- Marketing your groups – timelines and ideas
- Space for you to ask questions during the webinar and after, in the Facebook group
This webinar is for you if:
- You’re an Allied Health practitioner running your own business
- You’re a solo therapist or you have a team
- It’ll suit you whether or not you’re NDIS registered
- You’re curious about running groups

About Adina Levy
Speech Therapist & Director of Play. Learn. Chat.
I am somewhat obsessed with finding the balance between helpful, ethical practice, clinical relevance, sustainable, profitable services, happy therapists and smooth systems.
I have a neurodiversity-affirming approach to my work with children and families. I believe that all brains are wonderful, different and needed. All children’s and adults’ individual strengths and passions should be celebrated and honoured. I keep this at the front of my mind when designing, setting up and running groups. I’m exploring my own ND qualities, and have a strong sense of designing a work-life around your own individual (and your team’s) sensory, social and interest preferences!
I love making information clear and helpful for busy families, and now I’m so excited to be bringing this approach to other therapists and allied health private practice owners!
For many years I’ve been fielding emails and online group messages asking about how I get groups happening, and I decided that it’s time to pull all of my ideas, experience and perspecive together into one spot to support other private practices to run groups of your own!
You get the benefit of my 7+ years of running groups, learning, analysing & adapting! Our industry needs innovative approaches and I’m here to support you and your team to think creatively and adaptively about how groups can serve your clients, families and team!
Frequently Asked Questions
WHEN IS THE WEBINAR?
Anytime! It’s recorded so you can watch when it suits you, within 30 days.
I'm an OT - will this webinar apply to me?
Yep! I’ve designed it to be relevant to all allied health practices. I’m not sharing how to run specific groups, that part is up to you! I share info and considerations when running any kind of group in our various allied health private practice settings.
I'm not sure that I want to run groups. Should I join this webinar?
I reckon YES! I share a lot of ideas to get your brain-cogs turning about more innovative ways of delivering support to families and your community. You’ll be left with loads of new ideas that you can put into place over the next long-while, even if they’re not specifically for creating and running groups!
Can I attend if I'm not from Australia?
You’re welcome to! I reference our NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) and other issues local to Australian business owners, but there’s still a lot in there that is relevant for allied health businesses anywhere!
