Hi!
I’m Adina Levy, a neurodivergent Speech Therapist from Sydney, Australia.
I’m so happy you’re here!
I’ve worked predominantly with autistic children and kids with disabilities, their families, and their communities since 2012. I live in Sydney, Australia with my wonderful daughter and husband.
I’m dedicated to helping families, therapists, educators, teachers and communities to understand neurodivergent children better, and develop a deeper acceptance of children’s unique interests, passions, individual strengths and support needs.
I have a Neurodiversity Affirming approach to my work with children, families, professionals and communities. I believe that all brains are wonderful, different and needed. All children’s and adults’ individual strengths and passions should be celebrated and honoured.
Every individual’s support needs should be identified and accomodated without hesitation.
I connect the dots between clinical practice (including formal research and evidence based practice) and lived experience – my own, as an AuDHDer (autistic + ADHDer) and others in the neurodivergent community.
I’m always learning and adapting my practice – and I’m dedicated to sharing this approach with other adults too. We can never know enough. I believe it’s essential to be open to continual learning and to saying “I got it wrong, now I know better”.
I’m an advocate for autistic and neurodivergent children to have a valued place in their world.
